HEY THERE
Being aware of your values, your strengths and interests, can help you make a decision that is right for you.
I know the path isn't always clear from the start but every step, however uncertain, can lead you somewhere truly worthwhile.
When I was 17, I walked out of school with no real plan for what came next—just a small piece of paper marking the end of my high school years. Back then, I went to school for hockey, lunch, and friends, with little thought for the future. Fast forward to now, and my career has spanned across a number of industries and roles, and changed directions several times along the way. Learning—whether on the job or through formal study—has been a constant thread, and despite failing my Sixth Form Certificate (NCEA Level 2) I’m now well into my fifth qualification.
It’s funny when I think about it—my journey kind of mirrors those long, winding rivers I used to kayak on. Full of unexpected turns, big rapids, and plenty of times when I had no idea which line to take next. But looking back, every bump and detour has played a part in shaping who I am today and deepened my passion for helping others navigate their own paths. As a parent of four young people, I get the pressure of trying to guide them through life’s maze—whether it’s choosing a study path, figuring out a career, or just navigating the complexities of growing up.
And here's the thing: whether you’re a student, a seasoned professional, or returning to work after a break, we all face moments of uncertainty. We can crave change and yearn for more clarity, and we sometimes just need a little help figuring it all out. That’s where I come in.
I’m genuinely passionate about helping people, no matter where they’re at, getting clearer on who they are and where they want to go. Honestly, I feel like I’ve been through pretty much every phase of a career myself, so I can really relate to what you're going through!
I can help because I’ve been there.
